$ for a 1999 civic ex

I had just bought a stock civic ex and had only had if for 6 months. The car has 148,000 miles on it. So a long story short, I was driving down the freeway and I blew a piston out of the bottom of the block. Just wondering how much money I should ask for it with a blown motor? If I can't sell it how much would anyone pay for a stock used motor, the car is an automatic?
Any info would be great!
Thanks
