Civic Aerodeck 1,4 IS - control power windows problem

Hi guys,

I have a problem with my Civic Aerodeck 1,4 IS (1998):

6 months ago, my windows began to do not work always. sometimes worked, sometimes not. a few days ago, suddenly, the windows motors doesn't work anymore.
I think that the "control unit power window" is gone....everything inside is ok, the contacts are like new.
I do not know how to control if this part is the problem. I wish to bypass the "control unit" but I do not know what wire to conect directly to the motor window to see if the power arrives.

can you help me? thanks!

ps- yes, I already controlled the fuses, are fine.

that control unit uses relays inside that box I would highly recommend that you do not bypass it as it will burn up the wiring and cause more headaches than you are willing to deal with.

I saw, I took a look inside the box, there are 2 relays ("down relay" and "up relay") - everything seems ok.
So, in this case, how can I control this unit to understand if is burned or not?

thanks!

you will need to find out which wires are the activation wires for up/down and then see which ones are the constant power wires to the module, you can test all of that with a test light then use jumper wires to see what is working and what is not. There will be 2 terminals for activation and 1 or 2 constant power wires as well as 2 ground wires for the relays.
