My first civic.

I'm new to the forum and I got my first civic 2 days ago. I was told it has a front end conversion. Coil overs. Tinted windows. Sound system. Some type of rims. Has its little problems but it is a 10 year old car. 5 speed. I have no idea what type of engine.

Re: My first civic.

looks like a 99-00 front end conversion what year is yours? also if its an si its the d16y8 vtec engine and if its a dx its the d16y7 block. its stamped on the block right where the trans meets the engine.

gotta be careful on the SI part. it looks to be an EX which is the d16y8 if your from Canada I guess the EX there is the SI. but the US SI is a b16. but Im sure you knew that. But your right look at the block where the tranny meets up and the code is stamped there.

More pics please. car looks good from what I can tell.
what problems does it have?

Re: My first civic.

difference between the ex and si here were the options/stlying. The ex looked more like the dx and the si had some different styling cues. I keep forgetting that the si in the US has the b series, the b series here were in the siR if memory serves.
