adding a bench seat?

is there any way i can change a car with bucket seats and an ebrake in the middle to one with a bench seat? i'd assume i could just swap out the two buckets for one big seat but how do i deal with the ebrake? can i manage to move it or remove it? lol

i want a seat like this http://akroncanton.craigslist.org/ctd/2113073588.html

btw, the first image was a mistake. i thought i found a civic with a bench seat >:/

idk what car that first image was of, but i wish it was of a civic haha

Re: adding a bench seat?

Its possible, but you would need to have custom mounts for the seat made, custom e-brake relocation and possibly a custom shifter relocation. It would end up being very expensive..

Re: adding a bench seat?

it would be cheaper if you didnt want the ebrake. but yeah still alot more work than its worth.

Re: adding a bench seat?

for automatic i'ts possible
u need foot e brake from one of the jap cars like toyota v6 old old gen camry
they use foot e brake
get the peddle and wire posbly custom mounting
then the shifter off 2000 and under oddessy
with all the cables at the correct length then its good
but i dont see any use of a bench seat probly get a girl closer to giving u head without knocking her head on the shifter when u hit a bump

Re: adding a bench seat?

yeah head is really important
i don't really care about the ebrake haha
i just want to rip it out and put an fold down armrest/middle seat thing
where can i buy those things? lol
i figure i might have to custom mount or actually do something myself, haha, but the extra seat/bed/head in a civic would be pretty sweet
i suppose i could go to a junkyard and get a folddownarmrestseatthing from another car. does anyone know of other cars with middle seats that might fit?
