LCD FP Plus caused car to not start?

I went on vacation and let my car sit for 10 days without being driven. At this point I was running 1 fl of LCD's FP Plus for gas additive in every tank. When I got home the old girl would not run. It would crank and try to start, but just wouldn't run. It was like it wasn't getting fuel..... After checking over everything I just kept pumping the gas and trying to start her. I did this about 8 times in a row and eventually she took off and ran.

I'm guessing 1 of the 3 things happened:

1. I picked up some bad gas somewhere along the way

2. I 'recently' changed the fuel filter (6 months ago) and maybe air got in the fuel line

3. THE UNTHINKABLE: Everybody's favorite FP Plus is to blame! Maybe it all sank to the bottom of the tank ?

Any thoughts?

(Gearbox I'm waiting for you to defend LCD!)

Re: LCD FP Plus caused car to not start?

lol, well i can say ive left my car many times for 2 weeks and it started right up everytime with fp in there...my bet is coincidence or another problem. the fp actually preserves the gas from going bad, so if anything it will just keep the gas fresh. i can also comment that my car runs noticably worse if i forget to add the fp while filling up. also the fp will not settle out or cause any issues in gas. i think letting the car sit caused some problem to get worse that you may already have. possibly fuel pressure wasnt where it should be.

Hmmmmmm....alright, thanks Gearbox. Yeah, after this happened I stopped running the FP in every tank, just to be safe, and my mileage dropped from 34-35 avg to 31-32 avg.
