Rep Power: 0 1997 Civic Coupe Power Window Problem
Did a search and couldn't find anything about this...
1997 Civic Coupe driver's side.
So the gear on my window regulator goes out (apparently extremely common) so I order a new window regulator as the motor is still good I just transfer it over.
I follow the Honda service manuals step by step of making sure the regulator and window get installed correctly (loosening the 6 bolts, bringing the window up an inch, pushing flat to the back rail, etc) and no matter how many times / ways I adjust the rails / regulator / etc the window still consistently drops out of the track on the front side of the door once it gets about 3/4 of the way down.
I've run out of ideas, here's what I've tried so far:
1. Adjusted rails to ensure they were even with the window.
2. Adjusted the regulator mounts
3. Removed and re-installed the entire track channel moulding
What else is there or tricks that will fix this?
