Transmission Help

Hi
My 2000 civic Lx manual with 180k miles needs a input shaft bearing (makes noise with clutch pedal up in neutral). I have recently found a 97 civic ex manual transmission with 90k on it.

Should I get the transmission swapped or should I just get the bearing replaced.
My question is will the ex transmission fit my car? and How do I check a transmission before buying it?

Since my current transmission has 180k I am not sure whether I should get it repaired.

I will really appreciate any suggestion

Thanks
Harsha
