Hello, my friend has a 2000 SI and he is going to sell it. I wanted to know if anyone knew if the injen intake for his Si will fit my 2000 ex? what would be the difference? The short ram intake model number is IS1560. In new to car mod and i don't really now if there is a big difference between the two models.

I actually just asked about this with my 2000 SE, i found this page was useful.

Basically the type of engine you have is a d16y8 which is the same engine that is in both the SI and the EX. As far as i know the SI is the canadian version and the EX is american made, therefore if they are both VTEC engines and the model is d16y8 (you can also check this by checking on the engine block for the tag) then you should be good if the intake works on the SI. Anyways check out that page i posted, look under D16Y8 it shows all the models that have the same engine as well as their years. Someone could correct me if im wrong but im almost positive that the 2000 SI and the 2000 EX have the same engine.

USDM 99-00 Si is a b-series, which means it won't work unless your TB is same size(still some modifications necessary)

I think the american SI is different from the SI in canada that is what i found in the site u gave me. The american SI has a different engine but i was hoping that their intake system was the same as the Ex. And you are correct the SI in canada is the same as the american EX. Thanks for the website and response.

I still need to know if anyone has put an intake from an SI in an EX? Or know if it will work? HELP

Ya I'm not sure on what it takes, but it really isn't worth all the work, when a new AEM short ram is like 100$

You're best bet will probably be an intake coupler/reducer. You will still need to modify/fabricate a mounting point. coupler can be bought at any auto parts store. I say get it, if anything you can resell later and maybe even make money.
