2000 HX 49 EPA or CA?
2000 HX 49 EPA or CA?
OK, I have a 49 state EPA 2000 civic HX w/ 5 speed trans. I accidently caught the engine on fire and the only thing I was able to get to fix it was a used motor with wire harness, only thing it does not have is exhaust manifold and distributor.
After comparing the 2 motors side by side i noticed the new engine does not have a IVAC system. it also has a different EGR with a vacuum line and components. Since I have now moved to California from Louisiana I believe i have a CA engine sitting in the garage floor?
can anyone tell me if this is true and will I need a new ECU or anything else to complete my engine swap?

Re: 2000 HX 49 EPA or CA?
yep, no help to me, LOL but thanks anyhow...So i took the used engine i just bought from the junkyard apart. Removed the head and anything else im going to need. Just going to swap out the head and harness cause the car is at an apartment and can not do a engine swap. Already i have noticed that the $400 5 wire o2 sensor plug does not match up to the california harness! This is going to be a long process!
