Re: Help!! :(

hmm lol leaves maybe? does your civic have cabin filters? take down the glove box and see whats going on over there. remove the blower motor too under passenger side dash and see what happened inside.

Re: Help!! :(

it might be the foam from the seal between the vents or blower! first pop off the side vents and check the foam gaskets. if those look okay, check the middle ones and then the blower seal. it has to be that foam. after a while it starts to fall apart over time...

What year and model? Many older civics do not have cabin air filters.

rednwhite04 will become famous soon enough
Re: Help!! :(

Most likely your heater core. The blower motor spins the wheel right over it and if your core has gone bad you'd be spewing nasty coolant that has otherwise been laying dormant in your plugged old nasty core.

Re: Help!! :(

its a 97 civic ex, im pretty sure gearbox is right considering i havent really paid much attention in that area, but i'll be working on it probably saturday, I have a 2 month old that i watch alone during the weekdays so i dont have as much time to mess with the green machine anymore...but soon i'll be doing the 2000 bezel mod so i'll be messing with the blower motor and all up in that biznatch so its gonna be checked either way!

Re: Help!! :(

is it rectangle shape chunks or square chunks is it flat on one side........well considering i have taken aprt the interoir of my civic 96 dx hatch i bet money on it is the seal around the blower tube that conects to the vents and to the a/c unit in your dash well to get to it its going to be a biiiitiiiich. pretty much your dash is going to have to come out........trust me i know samething happend to me first dissconnect your battery... then take off your glove box by the hinge and safty brackets... next take off all of the bottom panels.... since your battery is disconnected BECAREFUL WHEN DOING THIS NEXT STEP....dissconnect your passenger side airbags..yellow clip do not take out of dash...next dis connect the center console equipment radio a/c controlls.etc... hazerds controlls by the clips defroster controlls by the clips.... start unscrewing things and becarefull when disconnecting the ac cable if that breaks you will not be able to control your hot or cold settings it usauly breaks where the the cable connects to the a/c controlls...after those steps are complete look for screws that hold the dash in place

Re: Help!! :(

start un screwing and remeber where the screws go ......take out the center console....now take out the gauge cluster and bezel ...take out the air vents both sides.... after you get all the screws out of your dash..the dash should be pretty loose.....there is a bolt at the very top of the dash next to the windsheld that connects the dash to the firewall take that out there sould be a cover over trhe bolt like the one thats is on the access panel for you rear lights be carefull not to hit your window with the hand tool...it will crack your windsheld.... after the bolt is off tilt the steerin g wheel down far as it can go....the dash should be able to come out.. now you can look for the missing seal on the a/c unit ....GOOD LUCK like i said its a bitch....there are so many screws that attach to everything in your dash including screws to your vent tubes.......if it is hard to come out you missed a screw or bolt sometimes the air bag in your dash have to come out as well. look for screws and boltsman good luck!!!!!
