CEL Misfire Cylinder 2

Hi, got a 2000 Honda Civic EX about 96k miles on it.

Got it from a relative so I dont know too much about the history. It intermittently (though more often than not) has a CEL misfire cylinder 2.

What Ive done already
<> new spark plugs and wires, inspection of the distributor cap (nothing seemed out of line)

Some info on its symptoms
<> never has problems starting, fires every time without a second thought
<> does not idle rough, generally idles very smoothly after changing out the plugs and wires, before that it was much rougher
<> is somewhat sluggish on acceleration, and at times needs to be really pushed to get a good response (in rare cases up to 5,000 RPM)
<> generally sits at about 3000 RMP with normal driving circumstances (which may be normal, this is the first 4 cylinder Ive owned)
<> gets lesser than great gas mileage (usually about 240-260 miles per tank)

What Im thinking is that it may be the 02 sensor, but I dont know if that would give a constant Cylinder 2 misfire. Im guessing at this point its either a faulty 02 or possibly a bad fuel injector. Thoughts?

i would check the comp in cylinder number 2 and then clean the fuel injector
