Rear, soft `thump thump' sound when braking
Hi all,
'98 Civic HX here.
I've got a sound in the rear (seeming from the right) when I slow down and brake. My mechanic just did the rear brakes saying he thought the sound would go away. It hasn't.
It's notoriously hard to describe sounds, but I'll try. This soft 'thump thump', or 'wub wub' sound is regular and rymthmic, as if it's connected to the tire - but only when braking. Nothing esle in the car is affected - no vibration in the steering, absolutely nothing.
The sound is not there on acceleration.
Anyone want to venture a guess?
Thanks!
