18" Upgrade
Re: 18" Upgrade
I hope you enjoy a bumpy ride because thats what your going to get with 18's. While it may look nice, you will lose a lot of functionality. You 'll have to be super careful when driving, avoiding all pot holes and harsh driveways. You can easily split a tire or worse bend a rim. Personally I love 16" wheels for the civic. It looks good and you still maintain the functionality out of the wheels. Furthermore, the larger the wheel, the more its going to weigh and the last thing these cars need is something else to bog down the performance.

wow and i think my ride and performance is bad with 15s. i cant imagine going any bigger. i rode in an rsx with 16s and the ride was not acceptable. car was new at the time too.
Re: 18" Upgrade
The only thing rolling your fenders does is allow you to get the bigger wheels and not get rubbage. It does nothing to your overall ride. Lowering it will only make it worse. However if you have not lowered your car yet then I say try that first with your 16" wheels. You may be surprised how well they look once your ride is lowered. Closing that wheel gap helps make your wheels look bigger.
