BBP clutch kit, questions?

Looking to buy a BBP clutch kit replacement for my civic. The price seams right (around 60 plus shipping). Was just wondering if anyone has bought and used this kit and if they were satisfied and if it lasted a long time. I realize and understand that you get what you pay for, but the price seams so nice!

Also, if anyone else has some cheap recommendations for me otherwise, send the links my way it would be appreciated! thanks!

Re: BBP clutch kit, questions?

I have bought this one and installed it. Release bearing assembly has fallen apart after 2 weeks driving. I compared it to the original honda part and found the reason:
it has smaller internal diameter of the bearing itself, which does not allow for as much of a play between clutch and tranny axes and also, one of parts is made of cheap plastic which simply broke. Casing is made of a thinner metal and does not hold thing together properly.

Clutch disk friction ring is narrower and will wear out faster. Clutch pressure plate is also made cheaply and unreliably. It contains many more parts connected together with pins whereas original one has one-piece parts. All-in-all - very bad quality and UNRELIABLE.

Now I am going to put original hond aparts and forget this after market junk.
After all, honda is reliable car for a good reason - it makes good parts.
Just get original parts at hondapartsnow.com or majestichonda.com. They are cheaper there. And actually cost almost same as those kits at autozone. BTW, duralast clutch kit also has plastic used for release bearing. Crazy.
