remote starter troubleshoot
I have a 99 se sedan with only 96,000 km's (hoping to get another year out of it)--I've owned it since new
I had a remote engine starter installed a few months after buying it and it has worked without any problems up until a month or so ago --so thats almost 10 years without a hitch .
I changed the battery in the remote a few times over the years and changed it when this problem arised without it making a difference in the problem
any tips on what to look for ?
also -parking break light is staying on .I checked under the hood and the brake fluid reservoir is about a centimeter below the 'minimum'' line .What type of brake fluid should I be using to top it up with dot4 ? dot 5 ?
I'm going for a routine service on monday so I'm not sure if I feel like buying a jug of brake fluid if all it needs is a topping up of less than an ounce when it can be done by honda on monday .I suspect only being below the ''min'' line by a centimetre wont be a big deal if I keep my eye on it til monday .I realize the fluid being low could be a sign of different problems (front brake pads low on mojo ,cylinder leak )
nice forum
