my effin door latch

My boyfriend tried posting this problem for me..but im going to do it again my door wont shut..
as stupid as it sounds i cant figure it out..

the latch isnt moving all the way up... the "u" figure i guess... when it first started going i cud move it the rest of the way up with my finger but now I cant even do that...

I took my door panel off
all the linkages work fine..i really dont get.. and its really difficult to get my hands in that space..

im about to get a whole new door, but that seems silly over a problem this

ive been thru a motor swap from hell i dont see why a tiny freakin latch is gonna stop me... theres gotta be something stupid and small that i dont know..

please help.

Re: my effin door latch

maybe just replace that u system that latches the door to the car? thats what im thinking of doing. you know like just go to a junkyard and get one. im not going to get a new damn door thats just not in the cards.
