civic dx power steering?

I was test driving a 5spd 96 dx coupe but when I was driving it seemed like there was no power steering to it? is it only the 5spd models of the dx that lack power or is it both auto and manual. Would it be better to get a LX or EX over a DX because of the lack of power steering?

Re: civic dx power steering?

are these all sedans that you're referring to? because the LX was a sedan only trim. in that case, p/s on the DX came standard. if the DX you test drove was anything but a four door then it was optional. and then there's always the chance that the owner removed the p/s.

don't choose a car based on p/s, choose one based on how clean it is (i.e. lacking rust.) once you get used to having the vehicle moving while turning, no p/s is better than having it anyway
