Some 96 hatch Q's

Hi Everyone!

1) Is there anyway to adjust the clutch pedal engage point?
2) There seems to be alot of play in the shifter when in gear, i've replaced the bushings, but it seems to be in the shifter itself, any ideas?

any info would be appreciated

Try adjusting the pedal per manufacturer's procedure.

I suppose it could be the shifter but if you replaced the bushings then the shifter should be fine. Which bushings did you replace? Have you checked the connections where the stabilizer bar and shift bar connect to the tranny and the shifter?

Re: Some 96 hatch Q's

thanks for the info!

The clutch pedal engages right at the top, so if you press the pedal about an inch the clutch engages...

I think those are the bushing i replaced - the one that hooks to the shifter rod running to the tranny, theres 2 that come in a kit.

Is there another bushing where the shifter comes down and bolts to the tranny rod? It looks like there a nut and bolt there, but i can't tighten any further.
