New Exhuast

Hey guys, I have a 98 coupe EX with a bent exhaust. I want a Borla exhaust but the only one that comes close to fitting my car only fits the 94 - 97 EXs. What is the difference from the 97 to the 98?

Re: New Exhuast

Does anyone have any opinions on this one? I was also wondering about custom mandrel bend with aftermarket muffler. Any input would be appreciated.

I have no clue but why don't you just call Borla Tech Support and ask them? The guys at Vibrant performance seem pretty knowledgable as well.

There's no difference between the 1996 and 2000 Civic exhausts. Sounds like you mixed up the application and are looking at fitment on an Accord or some other Honda, maybe?

See thats what I had originally thought but then I went to 2 other websites and they said the same thing. I typically don't have problems with them being wrong. Do you have any ideas about a catback exhaust?

well said. they should know what their products fit. i'm a fan of calling up and talking to real people when i get confused looking at websites. you could also email them for clarification.

your options for mufflers are nearly limitless. damn near everyone makes a universal muffler. check with shops in your area, and see what they'd want for this kind of job. if you're talking about having them fab all the pipes, it shouldn't be much more to have them weld some hangers on a muffler. you could even work a high flow cat in there, if you want.
