Ok so i have a '00 DX and i have that exhaust manifold...header attatched to the cat...and its cracked. Huge fahreekin crack. Im planning on getting a header thats for a SOHC..downpipe..and EX cat. I already know that i also need 02 sensor extensions and seem to have found a source for those. My question is..am i going to have someone relocate the exhaust path? I heard through the vine that on these engines (D16Y7) if you put an aftermarket header on, the downpipe doesn't match up with the midpipe under the car. True? and does anyone know if im going to need custom brackets/mounting tabs for this? Thanks to anyone..and i have checked the forum already for answers but came up with even more questions..

Normally I would just flame the heck out of you and strip you of everything you have, even your dignity. I would then post some type of picture that makes even more fun of your lack of knowledge regarding your car. But for some strange reason I AM GOING TO ACTUAL HONESTLY ANSWER YOUR QUESTION.

Answer: If you have the header and the downpipe and the cat from the EX it will bolt directly up to the rest of the exhaust. Yes, you will have to extend the O2 wires but it will bolt up with the factory location tabs and everything.

If you don't believe me then just place your mouse pointer over my excessive amount of jujubes.

ok first of all im new to the honda scene...been in the eclipse scene for a while...totaled it and now im here. iv searched other forums for the answer tanight and some said the cat will extend too far down the car..but wat ever...thanks for gettin pissed at a newbie.
