Need some advice.
I have a 2000 honda civic LX sedan, I know there isn't alot out there for my particular car but I've found some stuff online. My question is, if i'm planning to do any engine upgrades, what would benefit me the most. I already have an AEM cold air intake and by this summer i was planning on putting in a Magnaflow cat back exhaust and AEM cam gear and pulleys. Does this sound like the right way to go? Also if I don't have a turbo on my car, would changing the fuel rail and injectors benefit me at all? any feedback would be appreciated.
Look for a different car? That's a strange suggestion.
A modified Civic will perform as well as a car three times its price. If you turbo the car, yes its advised to change the fuel system, this includes, pump, injectors, rail and fuel pressure regulator as you will be requiring more fuel when the car is putting out more power.

injectors
Replacing your injectors will give a slight horsepower boost, but what you'll save the most is your mpg. If you are still running with stock injectors, replacing them will help your engine work more efficiently, as well as save you a bit more money.

For somebody with a decade old car that's only putting 155 to the wheels I would'nt b giving too much advice.
Actually if i were you i wouldnt be giving any advice if you have to ask questions about a pretty much stock car and getting upgraded fuel injectors. hahaha

If he plans to buy these, then an upgraded fuel injector will help his car perform better. The cold air intake will provide the engine with an increased amount of air, so upgraded fuel injectors would be beneficial to compensate for the increased air flow to the engine.
The gains are very very minumal. The money is better off being spent on other mods for right now. I have alot more dont than that and i dont have a upgraded fuel system and my car runs great. Im not saying it wont help but it is not neccesary and you will not get your moneys worth.
haha, ok, actually my parents only gave me 300 dollars combined with the two cars i owned, a 1992 Acura Integra and now my civic. Just because i know what im talkin about you dont have to be offended because a 17 year old knows more than you. I still have alot to learn, i know, but i dont talk about stuff i dont know anything about. What have i been wrong about??
Im not going to pick on you as you are learning (as I am as well anyway), but you said cam gears were a basic mod - they are far from it. No one updates cams and cam gears unless they have other extensive engine mods.
To jump into the argument that took place a while ago... -- I agree about the fuel injectors, if he's installing AEM cold air intake and the others, you will need upgraded fuel injectors to match the air intake. That will help balance it out a bit.

Also dont waste your money on little things such as the AEM underdrive pulley's. 1 you dont want to get them if you are running subs or anything heavily electrical in your car because they take power from your alternator. 2 I have them and i have noticed minimal to no difference at all and i dont think they are worth the 140 bucks or w/e they go for now.
Alright then, besides the fact that my engine is a piece of s... , and i'm not planning on doing a swap any time soon , what other options do i have. I know I can change the cam and the cam gear and I can definetly put a cat back exhaust. If I do the exhaust first and then decide to do a swap , i shouldn't have to change the exhaust again , should I?
You more than likely will have to get another exhaust if you plan on swapping. If you are thinking about swapping just save your money and wait because you wont get your money back on the parts you buy for the engine that is in your car now. If you dont care about that just get a header and exhaust.
