Wheels too big

hi,
I recently bought rims for my 96 honda civic si. My wheels were 185/60/14 and the new rims and tires that I got are 215/50/16. They fit on the car nice but stick a little too far out. So when I load up my car and go over bumps it rubs. Does anyone have any solutions for me? I checked on the net and I think that the problem is that my offset is 0 on the new rims and I need one with an offset of -50. Is this right? Is there anything I can do like stiffen the suspension to make it work?

Thanks

yeah, 215s are a little wide for the civic. You can remove the fenderwells and so some other things if you're really against changing tires, but I'm not sure how easy that'd be.
