Heater Question
My cousin has a 96 LX. The heater just decided that it wasn't going to work the other day. The fan runs, but it never blows warm/hot air.
So I said possible heater core problem, also check the fuses, the hoses and coolant lines, the coolant level and also test the coolant itself to make sure it's good.
Anything else anyone can think of? Maybe something someone knows about a problem in 96? Thanks for any help.

Rep Power: 0 Have you checked your thermostat? Sometimes they stick and the block will heat up, but no heated coolant will get to the heater core. The other problem could be a tiny crack in one of the hoses that is letting out some coolant that's supposed to be going to the heater core. I had this problem with both my Talon and my Civic.
First, pull the thermostat and check it. If that doesn't fix it, wipe down all the hoses you can reach and then let it idle for about 10 minues and see if you can find anything

how was this advice? What did you find out on your heat bro? Was it the thermostat?

Rep Power: 0 It was advice because he hadn't checked the thermostat yet. I was just going off of what he posted above. When I had this problem it took me forever to get it figured out. The holes in my lines were extremely small, but just enough to give me problems. The only reason I found mine was I came back after driving for an hour and finally one of the pipes had antifreeze seeping out of it.
