Thumbs up D2 Coilovers Experience

Have not posted on the forum in a WHILE. So i figured i would return with a review on the D2 Coilovers I added about 6 months back. A good alignment will be requiring aftermarket rear camber arms (I chose the $100 Megan). I was able to get the car relatively straight in terms of alignment. About -0.5 camber in the front -.01 -.02 in the rear. Caster with these D2 units came out to +2.7 and +2.5. That's a fair amount in this car. Wheel return-ablity and directional stability is still superb.

My only two complaints: The steering arm is not EXACTLY the same as OEM from the strut. It will still work but due to the drop, and affected bump steer, setting your Toe is sketchy. You will get close to running out of threads on the inner tie rod before you can extend it enough to be dead perfect @ +0.08. Luckily i have acces to a machine shop so a fashioned up some male/female threaded spacers.
Second issue was the the ride quality was very stiff comparing to OEM comfort. BUT I think thats just what you get when you lower your car and go with aftermarket crap.. It has "36 way adjustable settings" its either bouncy all the way one way or stiff. I'm used to it honestly, but ladies get tired of their rack bouncing Handles better though, and body roll is down. The Nitto 450's on the -4lbs from OE Wheels help too

In the end, I was very happy with aesthetics and quality of the item (bought for a steal!) But just driving around every day that low got old.. In total I dropped 3 in the front and 2 5/8 in the rear for a perfect flush tire to fender fitment. Now ive probably raised both front and rear up an inch and a half hahaha! Here's how she sits now

Thanks! The purple lugs wore off on me after about a month but they match the fogs and the "purple/gold" theme. Ive got the crown royal shifter boot and red and purple LED's under each footwell.
