Muffler for a DX

I want a fairly quite MUFFLER for my 04 DX. I would like somthing like my factory one but with a larger outlet. I do not want a "can". somthing like apexi offers here. anyone?? will the EX one fit? I just want it to bolt on

HyeHonda05 will become famous soon enough
if you want JUST A MUFFLER...your gonna have to get it welded...the least you can if you want to bolt on is an axle-back...like the HKS Hi-Power, which i heard is fairly quite.I just ordered one myself and I am getting it put on monday.....

I would love to hear some feed back on the muffler. i was looking at it as well.

found an answer. T43EAZ is an adapter that allows you to put any EX exhaust on a DX/LX. sweet!

TheMoogly is on a distinguished road
I am going to be a test fitter for a header company called Thunder... I have an 04 LX and I am waiting for it to come, as well as my magnaflow hi-flow cat... I have a magnaflow catback exhaust already on the car and it is fantastic, not loud outside, but inside is loud... but that is the price you pay for aftermarket... and $150

An aftermarket ex header wont make much difference, a stock ex header works great, and they are really cheap kuz everyone with an ex swaps them. the holes are larger on an a2 ex motor then on the a1. larger piping on your exhaust will also improve the flow and give you some power. Pick up a used exhaust from a member on here, they dont make a whole big dif if they are used or not, its going to get scraped anyways. I did the lx to ex exhaust conversion, i have to write some stuff up on it, let me know if ur interested and I'll write it at the end of next week

EX header

LX header

now i see the problem. is it really going to be worth it to upgrade my exhaust? I probably will end up spending $500-$700 on headers and a catback that works. not sure if its worth it. I just want basic upgrades (intake/exhaust/ignition). I have an intake on the way and im going for new plugs and wire upgrades along with synthetic oil/ trany fluid upgrades. just not sure its going to be worth it. and i want it to be a daily driver (not a loud exhaust).

any imput?
