Exclamation Imminent Auto to Manual swap

I bought a 2005 Honda Civic lx with 160k miles on it, no maintenance record, and its an automatic (trash). the transmission is slipping and i decided instead of putting another auto in, i would like to try swapping in a manual tranny. i would like to know what parts i would need, what kind of problems i might run into with electronics and stuff like that, and how much it would cost to do the full swap. i have a general knowledge of this stuff and am currently going to school for auto tech. i'm in no rush to do it but would like to have it done within the next 6 months.

I'm lazy. It's usually more efficient to fix what's already there than reinvent the wheel.

Read this:

After skimming through it I would sell and just buy a manual
