Which Helms manual?

I have a 2004 Civic LX and I'm looking to get the Helms service manual. On the www.helminc.com website, I see 2 options: One is the 2001-2005 Civic 2/4 Door Service Manual (Item# 61S5C01) and the other is 2001-2005 Civic 2/4 Door Service Manual (Item# 61S5A08). The 2001-2004 manual is $53 compared to the 2001-2005 manual which is $140. Other than price and year range, I see no other difference. Is it safe to say I can get the cheaper one and still have all the information I would ever need in a service manual?

Re: Which Helms manual?

The one for $52 looks to be unavailable from Helm "Out of Stock."

This one looks available

You ought to see if it includes wiring diagrams/Electrical troubleshooting manual (ETM)....that may be a separate book.

Re: Which Helms manual?

Yes, those are the two I stated in my first post. I'm asking if anyone knows the difference between the $52 one and the $140 one (other than the MY ranges). I obviously don't want to spend more money than I have to if I don't need to for my 2004.

Re: Which Helms manual?

If you can't buy the cheap one, it's a moot point.
The cheap one said for 2001-2004 models.

The one that goes to 2005 included any revisions and corrections they knew of at the time of (the last?) printing.

Re: Which Helms manual?

Well if there are no differences other than some possible updates, I'll just wait until the cheap one is back in stock.

Re: Which Helms manual?

I have a feeling they only sold off the leftovers from the ~2004 model year version....and will never print any more of those.

It wouldn't make any sense at all for them to print another run of that version.

Try ebay?

Re: Which Helms manual?

I'm actually kind of surprised they don't offer electronic versions. All of my Fords have online versions where I can print off the pages I need, so I guess I'm used to that. Might give them a call and see if the cheaper version is coming back or look into other sources.

Try this one:

Go to the newest posts for the newest links, and if that one doesn't work start working your way backwards up the thread.
