This Friday I will be joining my Ex-Inlaws and my Ex.

She appears to be suffering the 'hood latch switch' / security 'alarm' problem.

I'm not certain of the model of her Civic and looking at pics of the cover,
I'm not certain what type of retainers the cover utilizes.

The pics mostly indicate to me that they are basic plastic 'pry-up' type that get pushed back in for re-installation ?

Any info much appreciated

You sound thrilled

You are correct. Small flat head is all you need to pry them up. Pull the clip all the way apart before reinserting, makes it easier.
