Advice on servicing costs
Advice on servicing costs
Hi everyone
I am a newbie here looking for advice, after searching endlessly for a new used car, my result has been the 2004/5 Honda Civic 1.6 exec.
My only concerns I have finally are costs on repairs in comparison to, for instance a Ford Focus 1.6 or Golf 1.6.
In the articles I have read, the only thing jumping out is that the Civic parts are more expensive than many manufacturers, when they say that, is it by a long mile? or just a little more? e.g if a clutch for a Ford focus cost £350 to fit, what would a Civic be in comparison? I had previously a Renault Grande scenic, which cost me a fortune in repairs and their expensive parts, would I have the smae issue withe the scenic?
Please can you give some advice
Regards to all.

Re: Advice on servicing costs
We don't have Renaults in the US but we do have Fords and VWs and I would venture to say that a Honda will cost you less in the long run even if the parts are costlier due to the much higher reliability/durability of the cars. Fords and VWs are made to break down whereas Hondas can easily go 200,000+ miles with just regular maintenance.
