timing belt 03 civic

hi
how often should a belt tensioner be replaced? I,m going to take my honda 1.7 to the honda dealer and the special says belt and water pump should i tell them to do the tensioner to.

if yours has never been changed then i would definitely change it, along with the tensioner spring,

but generally speaking i would say to change the tensioner every other timing belt job, so that wold be around 200,000 miles
