Help me out? Engine number/code!
So I'm at the stage now where I'm looking to do some more advanced engine upgrades but I have an issue- I have no idea what engine I have!
I have a 2001 5-door Civic S (UK) with a 1.6 VTEC block of some description. I've always went on the assumption that it was a D16W8 but now is the time to stop assuming and find out before I go buying any parts.
I can't seem to find any info on this variety of Civic and have never seen another one on the road. I'm not even sure any more if it's native to the UK...
Oh and also a good time to point out that I might have my selective blindness moments, but there is definitely no visible engine code anywhere that I have looked. All I can see is the transmission code (SLW if it's important).
So, anyone care to help a guy out please? Cheers
