Re: turbo

To do it right you are probably gonna spend as much or more than what the car is worth. This is not a lighthearted descision. Ready?

Re: turbo

Doing a budget turbo with mostly new parts the right way will cost you 4k and up. If you're not willing to spend that, don't do it because it's not worth the issues.

Re: turbo

Damnit people stop discouraging... A turbo set up is still much cheaper than buying a 200+ hp car. Why do you want a turbo? How much are you willing to spend? What do you want to know about it? How much research have you done on turbos in civics?

Re: turbo

I don't want to discourage him. At one point I was contemplating slowly gathering parts to do a turbo. I read multiple posts and one in particular that wanted to make 180 - 200 hp with a quality setup for a fair cost. It was on 7thgenhonda, but it listed all the parts he had to buy and how much they cost as well as whether they were new or used.

A turbo would be awesome but I think he should be prepared for the cost so he doesn't run into "There's something wrong with my crappy turbo parts and I don't have the cash to fix it."

Re: turbo

I agree .. it's good to be prepared. It can be done and it can be done fairly cheap if your patient enough to wait on parts By cheap I mean 3000-4000 dollars lol
