If your exhaust is rusting then you would benefit from the cat back since you would practically have whole new exhaust but other then that I don't see any other differences.

no there not good. BC racing,D2,K-sport, and Megan all come from the same chinese factory there just painted different colors there identical if you can't wait a couple weeks for a set of quality coils then i don't know what to tell you other then good things come to those who wait.

I have no experience with BC's but they do look similiar to the K2's, Megan etc. If your spending that kind of money I would just wait on the Progress.
How low do you plan on going? The progress can get down really low!
Also check to see what it cost to get a BC rebuilt and where you would have to send it.

not too low, maybe 2", just above tire tuck. it's my daily driver and i put on a good 500miles a week so i wanna make sure i get good coilovers, but i'm in college so i only have my car for the summer as of now, and 3-8 weeks could possibly put me out for a good portion, to possibly my whole summer, the main reason i want to do some work to the car is to make driving those 500+miles a week a little more enjoyable.. would koni yellows and eibach pro springs be a good choice? or do you really advocate waiting for the progress coilovers all the way?

Koni's would be a great option. Rather then the pro kit I would recommend GC sleeves with Eibach Springs. That way it will be adjustable.
Do you know what is involved in putting Koni's on an EM2?

im thinking of going with the tein ss or sa's. but im not sure as to what a pillowball mount is, the ss have a set with or without them at a 200$ difference, any chance you could shed some light as to what they are and if id need them?

A pillow mount is an adjustable upper strut mount typically without a rubber bushing. They allow for more alignment adjustment but unless you are racing or running high offset wheels where you would need more camber or caster then they are pointless. They also make the ride harsher since there is less give.
Your going to need a rear camber kit and possible a front. My KW's came with a front adjusting camber bolt.

how do i figure out if my rims are offset? and yeah i dont plan on tracking it, just daily driving, occasional spirited driving, and what kind of camber kit would you suggest and would i need to get that put on with the coilovers?

Wheel offset should be printed on inside of wheel, usually on the spoke. If they are stock wheels you are fine.

Front kit I did have was same company. Best to put on camber kit when you get coilovers installed since you have to remove the parts anyway to get the coilovers on.

i have a set of hfp 16" 8spoke rims, just found out threw searching online they are for the 07 fit... kinda taken aback by that, and should i get a front and rear camber set? and what would they run me roughly? what rear set do you have?

I have a front kit but I believe some guys get by without them. I like to run a little negative camber in the front. May depend how low you are.

hah thanks, and so i could go with just the rears? i dont want to go too low, like i said earlier, just above tire tuck if possible, i dont wanna have to worry too excessively about speedbumps and imperfections in the roads, and how many miles do the rear camber mounts have on them/ whats the condition?>

the link i read about the koni yellow installation to em2's made it seem like it was more hassle than it was worth, and i can get a set of SA's for about the same as progress, those camber bolts and mounts are cheaper than the spc's, they work well tho?

that sounds promising, between teins, should i go SS or SA? do you have a preference? SA is cheaper and seems better built and improved, but doesnt drop as low as the SS

The SA's come with thrust washers for the spring seat which is going to help with binding. Two other guys on the forum were having issues with there Basis kits binding. The problem seemed to come from the coilovers not having bearings in the top mount and the top mount not working with the OEM mount. I would research if there is a binding issue with the SS or SA. The SS does go lower, which would be nice to have that option. Generally you will want to go lower after a while, but any lower then 2.5 inches is pretty damn low IMO!!

all i can find is that the SAs are a little better than the SSs and the SSs even when lowered to no thread, still has wheel gap and the spring is no longer tight. I didnt find anything about binding for either set and the SAs say the lower .2-2.6 inches in the front and .7-2.7 in the rear, at least i think thats what this means http://www.dashzracing.com/01-05-Hon...lover-Kit.html .. if thats the case, i think that is more than enough room to lower and the SAs would be a better option.. any input?

if your willing to spend that kind of money on exhaust and suspension please don't waste it on chinese products like Megan. my advice regarding exhaust is just slap on a good quality nice sounding universal muffler like Vibrant Street Power or if you have cash to burn Apexi world sport 2. suspension wise in that price range i woul only consider two or three setups for this car Progress Technology or Ground Control sleeves+Koni yellows.
My brother has Koni Yellows and GCs on his Accord. They ride like a dream when you have the damping set to soft. But stiffen them up, and they are a very capable performance coilover, especially for the price. I have found that you can get this setup for under $800 if you know where to look.
Progress is good too. I know they make their competition coilovers (which are great, I have a friend with them), but don't they make CS-IIs that are for more budget minded people? I'm not sure how good they are, but I've heard good stuff about them.
Exhaust wise, an Apexi WS-2 is definitely the way to go. Probably one of the best sounding exhausts. Pricey, but well worth it. Vibrant is good as well, just a little bit louder....in my experience though, if you get a good resonator, they end up sounding very nice.
