Fuel Economy - 2012

All,

I have been recording my fuel consumption for 2012. I have a 2004 Honda Civic EX in Fiji Blue w/ a 15% tint (for those wondering). I used an app called "Gas Cubby" for iPhone and I have recorded about 5 months of data. I drive about 60/40 HWY/City... I use this car to commute to work everyday (60 miles round trip) and also drive a lot on the weekends. Outside of the seats being uncomfortable, on long drives, this has been a great car.

What do you experience, as far as fuel economy, with your 7th gen?

Re: Fuel Economy - 2012

That looks about right. I avg 35mpg in my gascubby stats. Although I have many mods that hinder me from getting higher mpg

Re: Fuel Economy - 2012

Today, gas mileage is a big deal for car buyers. There's a rule issued that requires manufacturers a 54.5 mpg average for vehicles. Hybrid and electric models are particularly geared for centering on that point, though they all bear the label “actual mileage may vary”. It varies widely, apparently, as a recent JD Power and Associates survey found a number of people are a bit disappointed by their hybrid fuel economy.
