Paint axle back flat black
Had my car up on jacks painting my drums and calipers today so I decided to pull off my axle back to shine her up again for the summer, after I got done I thought it might look good flat black...wont have to keep cleaning her so often too. Got an extra can of high heat paint just sittn here. Cant find any pics of something similar...Anyone with pics, thoughts. Here's what I got

my thoughts are it will burn off and look like **** in no time. i did it myself and tried several types of paint and although it was on a different car the principle is still the same. if your doing this for long lasting good looks maybe you should look into having it powder coated flat black. check around locally after getting a few cans of high temperature primer and paint, powder coating might not cost much more anyway.

Re: Paint axle back flat black
I have header paint and enough to do 3 coats, my goal is for long lasting looks so I dont have/want to clean it up so often...I def dont want to make more work for myself.
Powder coat would be nice but Im droppn most of my extra cash on my project car right now so I thought this could be an easy and free diy as I already have the extra paint.
Thanks for the replies
