Brake Park release

I hear a click noise from the shifter console when I depress the brake when vehicle is in park. I haven't notice it before but other threads indicate this is for Shifter release switch. Is it suppose to click? Maybe I haven't noticed it (need to keep my music down).

Thanks

Re: Brake Park release

Yes what you're hearing is the shift interlock, it also cycles when you turn the key on, you'll hear it then too.
