Re: The New Stationwagon

Theres a local guy here in ottawa that's converted his basically to a type r. Full red interior, 17'' EDM rims, he even got the UKDM stickers for the door jams that tell you what tire pressures you should have since the CDM/USDM use 15'' wheels.

Re: The New Stationwagon

They are a blast to own. Below are pics of ours.

Things I'd keep an eye on and watch out for:

- Front lower control arm compliance bushings. They usually only last 50-60k miles.
- The K20A3 TPS (throttle position sensor).. they prematurely fail. Will generally have an idle that "hunts" (goes up and down, and up and down) and will eventually (but not always) throw a CEL. The only way it's sold is as the throttle body assembly, which is about $550 at 35% off MSRP... you can drill out the rivets and get a BLOX or other sensor, but they all fail prematurely.
- A/C compressor clutch or the bearings will fail. Ours has 160k on it, and we have replaced the A/C clutch at 100k miles, and the compressor and clutch assembly ($900 new from Honda at 35% off MSRP) at about 140k.
- The driver seat will be a "rocking chair" like the EM2's... no real fix for this that I've seen. Ours has done it since it was out of warranty, and a replacement seat is like $1200, so it's going to just keep rocking.

We put a Stoptech big brake kit and Enkei 17x8.5" RPF1's on it, among other things to make it a little more fun on track days.

Oh, and we took the "CIVIC SI" badges off and made it an "Odyssey Coupe" since that's really what it is... a 2 door minivan. The "ODYSSEY" is from a 2008 van, and the "coupe" is an OEM Honda badge off the old 80's preludes.

Re: The New Stationwagon

No body damage on this one...I've only driven it twice! Up at school and it's not registered or insured. Trying to squeeze every penny lol but it's a bit more fun than the EM2 although I miss the feel of the coupe
