Whole body shaking
Whole body shaking
Hey guys! Recently there is a problem on my 2002 Honda Civic Ex with 80k miles. The whole body of the car is shaking, especially around 1000 to 1500 rpm. I can't tell exactly which part is shaking, it may be from something under hood. Engine light is not on. The local mechanic said it may from the transmission but he is not quite sure. Besides replacing air filter and oil change, I didn't touch under hood so much. I have no idea what's going on. Anyone here can give me any suggestion?
Really appreciate!

Re: Whole body shaking
does it do this when the cars not moving if you just rev it to 1000 - 1500 range and is it manual or auto. either way id start at the easy places first like tires may need balancing or bent a wheel on a pot hole or curb and didnt know it.
Re: Whole body shaking
Sounds like the tranny but, take it to Autozone and have it scanned for codes (It's free). Just because the light isn't on doesn't mean there isn't a code. Post back with specific codes.
Re: Whole body shaking

Finally, the problem is solved. The side engine mount, No. 4 in the figure, which is near the generator, is broken. It cost me 250 bucks. Anyway, thanks all viewing and replies in the forum
