Body Kit wont come off!!

Hey guys i recently removed the body kit on my civic and there's a bunch of glue stuck on the rear bumper and the sides and it wont come off. Is there anything i can use to take it off? It looks like black rubber type material and its really hard to get off.

I tried that stuff it doesn't seem to work. This glue that's left behind is like a heavy duty sort of glue.

Pictures would help.

Goo-gone gets most stuff off. If it's really stuck dry ice and a scrapper works well, but if it's on a painted surface it will be damaged.

Re: Body Kit wont come off!!

Yea heat gun FTW... Be careful though because heat guns get hot enough to bubble and destroy the paint. In fact they probably get hot enough to melt the bumper so you have to be extra careful with it. Hair dryer might not get hot enough. I picked up a Milwaukee heat gun for 30 bucks at home depot a few years ago and i've used it a bunch of times. Great investment.
