Thumbs up How much of a drop is on this car?

I'm looking at a used civic - The current owner bought it already lowered with lowering springs, and he does not know what size drop it is.

Is there quick way to estimate the drop? Like a certain # of fingers from the tire to the well? It's an 03 Si EP3 hatch. It's a stock body, no sideskirts or anything, so is it possible to measure from the ground?

Thanks

Re: How much of a drop is on this car?

This is the only pic I have right now - i doubt you can make anything from it. I'm picking it up next week sometime so I can get better pics or try and figure what springs are on it. The current owner doesn't know, he bought it with the springs.

I'm putting new shocks/struts on, so based on the drop i'll decide what kind to get.

I got some pics. What do you guys think? I wanna be able to go with Tokico Blues, but they're not rated for anything over 1.8". Will I be ok?

What would you recommend? I've already had multiple people tell me Tokico Blues will be good.

Also, do you have an estimate on the drop from the pictures above?

i have the EM2, so not sure of the EP3 - not many members in here to vouch for that.
EP3 is very different from the get go.

My friend is guessing it's around a 1.5" drop? What do you guys think?

Re: How much of a drop is on this car?

I'm thinking that's a 1.5'' drop, which is pretty common.

I know lots of people with tokico blues on various honda models and they're all very happy with them, the biggest difference between the an ep3 and em2 suspension is the weight distribution difference, but the springs rates should compensate for that mostly.

tell us the color of the springs.. That may give us a good idea where to start guessing what kinda springs they are.

I got a question : When someone talks about Coil Sleeves or Coilover Sleeves, are they talking about Coilovers?
