at low speed braking i hear a groaning sound coming from the front, any ideas?

lol ive never heard anybody refer to brake noise as groaning can you elaborate is it a metal on metal sound or a squealing noise. when is the last time you changed the pads.

you can hear it on outside of the car, it feels like the pads are trying to stick to the rotor so its making a groan sound. is this time for new rotors and pads? i have about 50-40 percent pad life left, but the rotors are a bit rusty around the portions that the pads don't touch

I dont think its the pads. Are you sure the slide pins arent sticking?

Groaning from the front? ... check your lower control arm bushings. Maybe the flex during braking is causing noise but even that is kind of far fetched. Slide pins is a good option if they weren't lubed up during the last change. Also, push on the front of the car to see if you can duplicate the noise.

I got this problem too it really sounds like a metal-to-metal groan. I haven't looked recently but its likely the slide pins. My bushings have not ever given me static.

Does this happen only when you use the brakes for the first time that day? Sometimes my brakes grind in the morning simply because it's rained and they are grinding on **** that's on the rotors. It stops after a few applications of the brake. If you hear a grinding not a groaning noise it's probably nothing.

no lca bushing those have been replaced and its not effecting the suspension cause i'm only going about 2mph, i believe i figured it out that my rotors could be shot, i think they're might need to be deglazed, but i'm just going to replace my brakes, i found some on ebay from a a ebay store named brake motive, they are selling powerstop parts.

so cross drilled or slotted dont have added advantages?

no not really you actually lose surface area for your pads giving you less stopping force drilled and sloted rotors are more for racing purposes.

The big problem with slotted rotors is that they actually remove a layer of pad with each pass which drastically reduces pad life. It's life a knife cutting a thin layer of butter constantly.
