200,000 Miles

Hit this yesterday while driving home to visit my parents. Think i have definitely got my monies worth out of the old Civic. It's an 03 LX. Had 5miles on it when i bought it.

5 miles Man. No trouble whatsoever. Just regular routine stuff,tires, breaks,water pump and timing belt when it was time. Only problems i have is with the door locks on both sides stopped working,but that's not major.

Manual or auto? Im almost at 190k miles with an auto and only issues is slipping when cold.

Theres a guy on youtube with an 06 civic that did over 1 million km. Look up 1million km civic and you should find it. I think he changed the engine and tranny once, only because the tranny went bad at 350k. He said the engine was still running fine but swapped it out at the same time anyway.
it hit 999 999.9 and stopped going up :P

200k is quite an accomplishment. Just the sheer amount of miles. I just hit 140k a week and a half ago. Congrats. Keep the miles rollin'!

here it is....but keep in mind this was written in 2009 (6/10/2009).

i dont have the follow up story but he/she's got WELL over 1million miles.

thats at least 13,889 miles a month.

Whats so weird about that? Americans use the miles system and Canadians use the metric. It wouldn't make sense for us to have miles...
