A/C question

Has anyone experienced problems with the refrigerant discharge line snapping when accelerating? This happened to me a few weeks ago when I was accelerating with the A/C on. I heard a snap and saw smoke, when I parked I saw that the discharge line from the radiator to the refrigerant drier had broken where it was pinched to curve into the drier. This was factory and it seems like shoddy engineering on Honda's part, especially since that discharge line is only available with rubber tubing now. Has anyone had this problem, was there a recall? It will cost me 350$ to get it fixed so any advice would be helpful!

Re: A/C question

first time in 10 yrs ive heard that happen here. more than likely it was caused by too high of a pressure in the lines (by inexperienced mechanic or overfilling refrigerant in the system). either that or an isolated freak accident.
