first ask the question which tires he is using.
obviously tread is narrower than the wheel, so slightly stretched.

It is done so that he can clear the fenders with the drop - also shown in pics. Will depend on the wheel width and clearance to the suspension components. some use less off-set, but need insane amounts of camber that kills the dyanmics of the car...

naturally, visible in pics again.

kudos for venturing in others' threads, though. thumbs for that.

Muirsy,
great wheels! What suspension are you rocking again? can't quite remember... No rear camber kits i assume??

What would be better, drop the car or get body kit to make it look lower?
i have 205/45/17s on them so its a slight stretch but i had those tires already on my old rims which were 7" wide. the tires are pretty much brand new so i just swapped them over. if u are getting a 7.5 id go with something wider like 215. Yes my car is lowered about 2.5" on skunk2 full coilovers and i would drop the car before putting a lip kit on

stop at 215 - i guess the 225 starts having issues with rubbing depending on the off-set

OK can you please clarify? (Sorry, I know NOTHING about wheels). He asked why the +45 offset opposed to the 43mm recommended. You say it's to clear the fenders without needing too much camber. BUT, wouldn't 43mm clear the fenders easier since they don't stick out as much - basically, isn't it the other way around? I know I'm missing something here
