Catalytic Converter question

Hey guys, new to the forums and civics so I could use some help. I just bought a 05 HCH cvt. It has approx 125k miles and failed emissions due to a P0420 error (bad conv bank1). Majority of research leads to a bad cat for this year and model. I have spoke with the dealer and its up to date with recalls/service bulletins.

After a quick look under the car it seems like there is a converter viewable under the hood near the engine, but also a converter half way under the car connecting to the exhaust pipe.

I am confused if this car has 2 converters and which one is bad. Can anyone elaborate on which part needs replaced with a p0420 code on this car. I appreciate it!

Re: Catalytic Converter question

i think it is only one for the hybrid civic. the "converter" next to the muffler is a resonator for quieting the exhaust. the cat is usually more towards the front of the car.
