RCA Interference

Hey guys as some of you know ive been having some speaker interference issues. Ive finally been able to narrow down the culprit. Its the mess of stock wires under the A/C front ports where air flows through.

How do I know know this? When I have the HU dash taken out and play music while running, there is no interference at all! But when I put the HU dash back in its original position, my RCAs get closer to those stock wires..Which it gets the inteference from...I even grounded the base of the RCA's with wire.

So my conclusion is the farther away I place my RCAs from all of that wire, the less (none) interference I have in my speakers.

This is complicated..The only solution I can figure out would be to run my RCAs through the center console on my sedan to the trunk, or get better shielded wire(booo...). Even if I do run it through the middle, the RCA's will inevitably link up to my HU in the same spot its in now. Right now they are run under the steering column..hmm close to the fuse box now that I think of it. Fuse box be another culprit?

Any other 7th gen owner come across this problem?

Re: RCA Interference

Maybe you can try and run your RCA's a different way. Or try and move some of the stock wires....tie strap them higher, of further back.

Re: RCA Interference

I run my RCAs down from the head unit, coiled behind the cup holder console then run to the amps (which are under the seats)
See if there is room to pull them down when you put the head unit back in.

Anyplace they run near power could be an issue. Good shielded cables do make a difference.

I tried and Im getting less interference...Think its a ground loop now but its narrowed down. I tried running them down behind the cigarette panel thing, theres not enough room AND the RCAs get crimped along the bottom metal bracket the HU mounts to..

I'll keep trying, and ordering more parts =/
