Okay so..
I have about a million questions to ask.. Some may have been answered already... Others prolly not.. Ohwell haha..

Halogen headlights or no?

Mind me im not making my honda supper fast or racing it, i just like the body styles on civics..
that being said... Will 19inch rims on 35series tires.. Will that fit without a huge gap in my wheel well?

Okay..I want black rotors.. I dont know if that even exists does anyone know?

Will black rims with a chrome lip, go with a grey 2005 honda civic ex? My windows are tinted about 20% so the black im pretty sure will go with the windows.. Because the windows are nearly black.. Plus my car is a darker grey so i think black would be fine..

If i have any other questions i will come back haha..

This may be a dumb question or it may not.. do those window sound guard things, or mud flaps add more style to ur car? What are some little things that do add style to ur car? Nothing extreme just some little things

Ohh and what kinda bulbs do the 05' civics use for the fog lights.. Cause i bought aftermarket fog lights and im not sure which bulb it takes or what it can handle.. Because i want them blue

... I know someones going to make some smart comment on 19" rims because they dont like them, but its all good keep it to urself please.. Thanks guys!

fog light uses H8 35w bulbs. check www.sylvania.com bulb replacement guide for other sizes.

Black rotors exist, yes, but unless you want very low quality ones from ebay they are extremely expensive.

19 inch rims will fit, but the tires for them will be extremely expensive and you'd likely be better off going with 17 inch rims. Thats your decision though.

Aaaahhh. A clean slate. Where to start...

First thing I always do when starting a project is to come up with a theme. When I was a VW Beetle guy, I thought of what I wanted the end result to be. Race. Euro. Cali. Resto. I made a list of parts, color themes, etc., to get there. Saves money and time in the long run. How do you want your Civic to look like in the end? Flashy with chrome. A JDM look with Japanese parts. VIP with stretched tires, curtains, and fat lipped BBS rims. Race inspired with go fast parts. Minimalist with shaved emblems and clean lines. The reason I ask is why bother with mudflaps if you are going for a track look. Or why 19s if you are going for a VIP theme. Or why bother painting your emblems black and getting black rotors if you end up shaving everything and going for a Hello Kitty Pink look. Get the idea? It may seem trivial now, but unless you are Mr. Deep Pockets (Civic guys/gals typically aren't, but there are some ballers out there) you will be nickel and diming yourself to death. Changing out things you thought was cool 6 months ago. Think Altezza taillights, roof scoops or outrageous trunk wings.

Search the DIYs, simple and cheap (sometimes FREE). Projects like painting emblems, headlights, valve covers, calipers, shaving your trunk, installing new taillights, replacing gearshift *****, mirrors, etc., will give you ideas. Search member's rides or Google 2005 Civic pictures for the look that might suit your taste. In the end, you'll decide what looks good and what doesn't.

When I make a list for my own car, I'll prioritize the parts and get them in that order until I'm done. I only deviate if I find a deal too good to pass up or if a new part is available that trumps something higher on my list. I'll budget for that part. Wheels were my number one priority. I believe this makes the biggest visual impact on a car. It is also an extension of your personality. After my wheels were on, it set the tone for the rest of the car. Blacked out and tracked out. Some people will tune the engine first, but this also sets the tone for speed. You get the idea.

19s will fit with 35s. It actually doesn't look too bad at stock height, it fills in the wheel gap fairly well. I rocked this look until I saved enough money for my springs and shocks. eBay is your friend when it comes to tires. They will be a bit pricey anywhere else. Good thing about eBay is that your local Discount Tire will match the price if they have it listed on their auction. Free mounting and balancing too. For more info search for 19 inch wheels on this forum. You'd be surprised that the site's coolest member rolls on 19s. Haha.

As for the black rotors, you get Brembo or OEM blanks (or use your own) fairly cheap all over the net. You can paint the hub portion yourself, to save some money, with high temp caliper paint. You can do the same with your drums. You can pick up new NHT calipers already painted or do your own. Search the forum.

But yehh i have 18's now and they just arent cutting it..
I wanted it lower, but it seems as the 19s are fine on stock height..
U suggest 35series tires? or something smaller?

Ehh eventually i just want my car to be clean..
In the end.. I suppose to sum it up.. I just want it blacked out..
Ohh and i refuse the chrome look, wouldn't have bought a honda if that was what i was aiming for... Not feeling the chrome look on hondas period really..

But I wanna change all my lights to LED, HID, Whatever u wanna call em.. I just want them bright, it adds color to it at night, and i think looks very good..
I wanted halogen lights aswell, but not sure if thats my thing for a honda, maybe just supper bright 10ks.

Rite now my honda isnt the most amazing ride.. Here i will put up a picture after this..

But my newer rimns i looked at are 19inch black on chrome.. I will also give u a picture of what they kinda look like..

Oh and also, since i wanna replace most of my lights can someone tell me the sizes, wattage, etc all that good stuff for each ones?
Such as.. The dome light, license plate light... All that stuff, and wat they recommend as far as brands for the brightest..

And one more thing.. I kinda wanna smoke my headlights, but not all the way, if i do that, will whatever hid lights i put into my headlight slot, be slightly darker?''

And i wanna put down some Neon lights under my driver and passenger area, like.. Under the dash.. I just like color, its nice heh.. Would that look horrible? ima have a shop do all this work, just so it would come out a bit more professional then if i did it haha!

Personally, I've always liked black wheels with chome lips (since my VW days - Porsche Fuchs Wheels and VW BRMs were my favorites). One step at a time, drop it when/if you can. Maybe .75" or so. (I'm a glutton for punishment. Full slam on 19's. Not a lot of people enjoy riding in my car.) I think a small drop for you is perfect. Maybe some S-Techs, not a bad price. Softer ride.

Wing or not? Personal preference. I think it's clean. See if anyone wants to swap trunks with you if you want to try out a wing free look. Easier/cheaper than filling the holes and painting.

I must admit i like urs.. Its really clean..
I wanted to switch out my bumper with some style body kit or lip kit..
But then igotta get it painted, shipped, this and that..
Just seemed like a hassle.

But yehh i think the black and chrome would look good on my car, maybe? Correct me if u think i may be wrong

Ur hondas on 19s? Correct? And ur running 35series tires?

All the S-Techs i looked at, the lowest drop was a 1.3" i believe..

I think they would look good on your car. My bad. S Techs are:

SKA22-AUB00 Honda Civic (2001-2005) EM2 (2dr coupe Incl 04+ (exc 4Dr))
The TEIN SKA22-AUB00 lowers the car 1.3" in the front and 1.4" in the rear.

Spring Rates (progressive)are pretty soft - F(157 lbs), R(291 lbs) compared to mine (448 Front/559 Rear). You'll have a pretty comfortable ride.

If 1.3" is too low for you, ask sdaidoji about his Progress Springs and how they ride. I believe he's only dropped 3/4".

Yes, I'm on 215/35-19s tires.

actually they are eibachs (I should punctuate bbetter in my sig ) - i actually have progress RSB.
They are stiff enough for me, but not sure how much of it is because of the AGX. I should need new struts soon, and plan on getting the Tk D-specs, so i will know better how the eibachs are by then.

My buddy rode on Eibachs back in the day, and my brother-in-law sported the Neuspeeds. Both had MKII GTIs. When I started out with Hondas, I went Neuspeed because it was a local company, that catered to VWs and Audis only. I didn't know anything about JDM, Progress, or any other brands other than these two companies. Neuspeed actually hooked me up with my springs and most of my engine dress up parts (trying to get the word out that they were in the japanese tuner market).

D-Specs are solid. I loved them when I had them.

I think it may just be because my tires are so big, is why my rims look small? If i were to get like 30series tires and drop my car a little bit, would my current rims go well wit it?

And if i change my springs, dont i need new struts and some other stuff, or no?
