Anyone has experience with them? i am looking to get some specially for winter, every damn set i buy turns out to be cheap, so now i am looking at the piaa's.

Any recommendation?

the only wipers i would recommend after trying over 10 different brands (including piaa) would be the bosch micro edge. they are the only ones that last at least 6 months and give a smooth, chatter-free wipe with little to no streaking. Primarily due to the special graphite coating on the blade. micro edge are harder to find these days but napa usually stocks em if you have those in canada. also maybe princess auto or crappy tire.

I didn't like RainX latitudes, frankly.. i hate all windshield wipers The trick is to put rainx on your windshield, that stuff is gold and works great, that way you don't rely on your windshield wipers as much. I'll have to try the micro edges.

but then if you need to use the wipers, they suck with rain-x on the window. i never use that stuff anymore and just keep the window clean with a clay bar every so often and sometimes adam's glaze which is made for glass (doesnt last very long tho). on a clean windshield, you dont need rain-x to bead water. if its clean enough it will do it anyway.

I rock the rain-x latitudes.. As for the rain-x treatment, I haven't put any of that on my car in over a year and it still beads water more than my other windows. I do get a good amount of "wiper chatter" when it's not pouring out or not high speed. I may try the Bosch wipers. I tried the PIAA wipers before, but seeing as how I had to order them online made them not worthwhile to keep sticking with them.

As for the graphite coating, rain-x has a line that has the same coating on them.. I don't think they're the latitudes, but I could be mistaken.

p.s. the latitudes did me well in light snow when I was in western WA state.

I liked the rainX treatment myself. It beaded the rain off way more than normal. Even when it was pouring out i hardly had to use my windshield wipers at all ( At highway speeds, mind you because it's all i do in this car )

I heavily RainX every single window (including moonroof), even RainX fog treatment on inside
I buy the $4 bottle of RainX Window cleaner + repellent

I use it after every car wash

currently running on the regular cheap RainX wipers, yeah theres some chatter when its a slight sprinkle, but I almost hardly turn on the wipers unless it is heavy winds and downpour, which is about maybe .5% of the time in California.

has anyone tried those wiper arm helpers they sell at napa? its like a spring type arm you install to put more pressure on the wiper blade. looks a bit strange, but at least its black. i imagine that would help them last much longer and wipe better without chatter since there is more force on them.

I never heard of or seen that wiper blade helper either.. I'd imagine it would wear the blades out faster being the blade has to bend the opposite direction at the end of each stroke.

...I only use bosch blades. I'm rocking the Icons now, but I liked the ones I had before this better- which I think were the micro edge's gear is talking about- they had even pressure across the entire blade which caused less streaking and chatter, replaced the whole wiper (not just a cartridge), and outlasted any other blade I've had before.
