Re: My newer better Ghetto rigged intake, made it today

Good Job! Much blingee'er Ghetto artwork! I used those plastic spectre 90 angles for a long time, but now that im using nitrous, the psi pushing through those foggers just breaks the plastic. I've replaced it like 4 times now. I'm looking for an aluminum piece of 90 tubing now. Looks much better though bro, keep it up!!!

K&N filters suck. If you search, you'll find a lot of comparison filters where K&N filters less than OEM, and AEM Dryflow filters something like 99% while maintaining maximum airflow. Plus, the dryflow filters are water washable and you don't have to oil 'em

all the money you spent you could have just bought a 30 dollar ebay pipe then got the AEM.

i think the ebay pipe looks way stupid, it is too tall and curves too much

Re: My newer better rigged intake, injen and aem have nothing on this

Curves for a reason. Instead of the air hitting a 90° bend then going in, there's a smoother transition from the horizontal part of the pipe into the throttle body. Increases efficiency in fluid dynamics due to less friction in the airstream. Yes, I'm referring to air as a fluid.

I'd take function over form any day.

Re: My newer better rigged intake, injen and aem have nothing on this

yeah, but were only talkin about an intake on an otherwise stock d17a2 with no plans for turbo or other big mods, id take -1 hp and form over function in that situation, but again, thats just me personally
