New brakes/rotors
New brakes/rotors
Hey all,
just found out I need new brakes and rotors but was advised to stay away from picking them up fromanywhere local because they're apparently cheaply made at autozone and those places. I was just wondering who makes the best brakes/rotors for our 7th gen and where's the best place to find them. Thanks all.

Hawk Pads and Brembo Blanks seem to be the combo of choice. I haven't gone with that combo yet, but I've heard nothing but good things

I did the hawk brembo setup and the hawk pads were great but the brembos were toast after a year and a half. Now I have hawk and some prostop brand that Pep boys sells and the braking is amazing. So I wouldn't rule out autozone rotors. Def get a quality pad though.

After a year? Really? How hard did you drive it? Just curious because I was thinking about doing the hawk/brembo setup here soon

I drive aggressive but not that hard I don't think. I have not auto crossed or anything so I was surprised the rotors were done that quickly. The braking was excellent though up until they started to go.

Hawk and powerslot rotors and love them. great stopping at the track and on the street and they seem to last for a long time.
Re: New brakes/rotors

Re: New brakes/rotors
i have the hawk pads an the power slot plus rotors. the rotors r kinda pricey but r worth every cent. they r a bigger rotor. 12.2 to the stock 10 inch. install was a bitch cuz the brackets had to b modified a bit but nothin crazy.
